·         Understanding specialist legislation (standards and regulations) in the Electrical Engineering &amp; Fibre Optic field and develop plans &amp; procedures to achieve and maintain full compliance for the SPIE Wind Connect group.
·         To ensure adherence to the necessary electrical / fibre optic safety and technical standards for the SPIE Wind Connect Group.
·         Implement the required engineering standards and best practice techniques for electrical / fibre optic works, taking responsibility for meeting industry recognised standards and client requirements.
·         Contribute towards improving technical and operational procedures used within the group.
·         To provide electrical / fibre optic technical support and guidance for the SPIE Wind Connect group functions ensuring compliance throughout the business.
·         Operational understanding of all specialist electrical / fibre optic test equipment used within the SPIE Wind Connect Group.
·         Monitor, review, and critique all test equipment used in SPIE Wind Connect Group operational activities.  Analyse for suitability, performance and reliability of different manufacturers models.  Support the SPIE Wind Connect equipment hire department, with recommendations for selection of equipment in terms of excellence, reliability and maintenance.
·         Ensure electrical/ fibre optic test equipment is in good working order.
·         Provide specialist functional electrical / fibre optic training to the operational personnel.
·         Assist in the development of training courses and testing regimes.
Support the SPIE Wind Connect Group in providing technical expertise for client technical clarifications during tender, project life cycle and business development opportunities.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Project engineer reporting directly to the Head of Projects / Lead Project Engineer.  Providing engineering &amp; technical support for all operational aspects engineering works performed in business execution.  Working within the engineering support team; providing technical solutions &amp; procedures for all HV &amp; fibre optic operations within the SPIE Wind Connect Group.&lt;br /&gt;

Responsibility for project cost control from handover through to project close-out.
Establish, manage, and maintain project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts, ensuring alignment with approved commercial agreements.
Track actual costs against forecast and budget, identifying cost overruns, savings, and margin movements.
Maintain accurate cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and monthly cost value reconciliations (CVRs).
Support month-end processes, including accruals, cost recognition, and financial reporting in liaison with Finance. 
Present unplanned expenditure for approval by budget holder(s)
Assist in the preparation and assessment of applications for payment, interim valuations, and final accounts.
Support contractual cost management, ensuring costs are recoverable and compliant with contract terms.
Maintain clear audit trails for commercial decisions, change orders, and approvals.
Assist Project Managers with commercial risk and opportunity management throughout the project lifecycle.
Track all project costs including labour, materials, subcontractors, travel, accommodation and expenses and summarise for project performance P&amp;L.
Ensure all costs are properly authorised, coded, and allocated to the correct project and cost headings
Monitor subcontractor and supplier spend against budget allowances and contractual commitments. 
Produce regular cost and commercial reports for Project Managers, Commercial Managers, and senior stakeholders.
Provide clear commentary on cost performance, risks, variations, and forecast outturn costs.
Attend project, commercial, and client meetings as required to support cost and commercial discussions.
Act as a key interface between Project Delivery, QS, Procurement, and Finance functions.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
The Cost Controller is responsible for the financial and commercial control of projects, ensuring robust cost management, accurate forecasting, and effective reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Including cost planning, valuation support, variation assessment, and commercial reporting, working closely with Project Managers, Resourcing, Finance, and Procurement to protect project margins and contractual position.&lt;br /&gt;
