Job Purpose
This role offers an excellent opportunity to advance your career in the Oil &amp; Gas sector within one of SPIE’s most significant long‑term projects in Qatar. The project has successfully completed eight years of multidiscipline maintenance and operations activities for a major industrial area. Due to strong client satisfaction and new contract awards, additional positions have been created, including this Senior Mechanical Foreman role.
The Senior Mechanical Foreman (Port) will oversee mechanical maintenance operations, ensure safe work practices, supervise teams, and contribute to the reliability and efficiency of multiple mechanical systems within the industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Operational &amp; Technical Duties
Oversee the operation and maintenance of all mechanical systems, including planning, scheduling, inspection, and supervision of daily activities.
Perform hands-on maintenance of mechanical equipment and control systems.
Troubleshoot faults, diagnose malfunctions, and carry out repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
Conduct maintenance and repair work on UPVC, copper, DI, HDPE, GRE, and CS piping systems.
Perform overhaul and repair of pumps, compressors, diesel engines, blowers, packaged units, split ACs, window AC units, chillers, cooling towers, and related equipment.
Adjust machinery settings to optimize performance and ensure maximum efficiency.
Support commissioning activities for new equipment and projects.
Maintenance Management
Utilise computerised maintenance systems, including SAP, for notifications, Work Orders, and service entry sheets.
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance plans.
Monitor spare parts availability, coordinate replenishment, and support inventory control.
Prepare daily reports documenting maintenance activities, completed tasks, issues, and recommendations.
Interpret SPIRS, technical drawings, P&amp;IDs, piping isometrics, and material specifications.
Safety &amp; Compliance
Enforce a safe work culture and ensure strict adherence to HSE protocols.
Demonstrate proficiency in Oil &amp; gas work permit systems.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas in line with industry regulations.
Leadership &amp; Training
Supervise, guide, and motivate subordinates to achieve operational goals.
Provide on-the-job training to junior technicians.
Ensure effective communication within the team and with other departments&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Diploma in mechanical engineering or relevant trade certificate.

Minimum 10 years of experience in maintenance and overhaul of pumps, compressors, diesel engines, utility pipelines, and related systems, preferably in Oil &amp; Gas or industrial facilities.

At least 3 years of experience as a foreman or mechanical in charge.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, fittings, fasteners, and industrial standards.

Experience with SAP maintenance modules and inventory control systems.
Ability to interpret technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
Experience in equipment commissioning and project support.

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Ability to document procedures, maintain service records, and prepare daily activity reports.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

- Prime responsibility for carrying out the planning of daily maintenance activities with primary responsibility to ensure ‘right-first-time’ job performance so that equipment reliability is maximized, while improving maintenance ‘tool time’ ,’work quality’ by anticipating and eliminating potential delays
through planning and coordination of labor and non-labor resources including materials and services.
- The role is expected to be able to remove uncertainty to execute planning in a systematic, efficient and economical way with forecasted maintenance job planning approach.
- He or she should be able to independently develop cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work to meet budgets and schedules.
- Planning Engineer shall have Competency and work experience in SAP Maintenance module, preferably in SAP S4-HANA including order planning, Purchase requisition, service entry sheets, call-off orders, service orders, Maintenance related Master data creation, updation, deletion etc.

Routine maintenance job planning
- Establish, maintain and improve the Maintenance Plans within the area of responsibility
- Develop equipment preventive maintenance schedule.
- Based on the daily new work request from production, Planning engineer shall prepare detailed activity break up along with the estimation of required resources for the job i.e. internal and external manpower, materials and services.
- Preparing work pack for each work order.
- Coordinate and review the work plan for assigned maintenance activities; review and evaluate planned work, methods , procedures and oversee spare parts inventory.

Contract Handling
- Participate in maintenance contracts handling including scope development, specifications, initiating procurement process, technical evaluation and provide support to superiors for management approval process as and when required.
- Day to day coordination with contractors to supply manpower and/or services based on requirement during daily work order planning.
- Verify and process the invoices submitted by the contractor.

Spares and Materials management
- Communicate and Co-ordinate with end-users to ensure spares and materials are made available by Planning Engineers for schedule activities. Also provide feedback to MRP so that cost-effective replenishment levels are maintained.
- Updating the item master including item specifications, Bill of Material, Spare Parts Criticality and new item codes in ERP as and when required.
- Responsible for the Periodic Inventory review &amp; Changes in the buffer stock levels with the coordination of end-users.
- Co-ordinate with Supply Chain department and Contractors for procurement of spares to ensure the availability.

Bachelor’s Engineering degree (12+4 years) in (Mechanical )
10 years relevant experience in Oil &amp; Gas/Petrochemical/Fertilizer industry and
competency*
Hands-on experience of the Work order part of EAM (enterprise asset
maintenance) module of SAP would be preferable. Competency and work
experience in ERP – SAP, preferably in SAP S4-HANA including Competency and
work experience in Maintenance related Master data creation, master data

 Job Purpose:
To optimize production downtime when executing maintenance activities contributing to the development and review of risk assessments.

Your main duties will be to: -
Oversee the management of topside non-routine activities, coordinating with various onboard entities (FOPS, E&amp;C, MP, MNT, INSP) and maintaining close collaboration with the onshore coordination team to ensure proper scope arbitration, validation, and  works.
Supervise contractor personnel onboard and act as the HSE representative to uphold safety standards.
Monitor offshore execution to ensure alignment with established KPIs, agreed milestones, and the approved P6 schedule.
Directly support Al-Shaheen field production goals by ensuring offshore activities are completed within the defined timeframes.

Key Responsibilities:

MISSIONS :

Warehouse Setup &amp; Optimization:
Review the warehouse design and layout (zones for consumables, fast movers, hazardous goods, overall dimensions, access gates, lifting equipment, storage and shelving systems, etc.).
Define storage requirements for each item category (climate control, shelving, hazardous material handling, etc.).
Implement FIFO/LIFO systems, labelling, and barcode tracking as needed.
Ensure accurate spare part codification and classification in the CMMS/ERP and on stored items.

Stock Control &amp; Inventory Accuracy:
Define, implement, and manage inventory control processes (reorder levels, minimum stock alerts, cycle counts).
Use appropriate tools and methods to perform regular stock reconciliations, support annual inventory audits, and ensure 100% data accuracy between physical stock and digital records (CMMS/ERP).
Develop and utilize interface tools to provide real-time part availability data to maintenance planners.
Ensure systematic calibration period and expiry date are not overdue.

Tool Management:
Maintain and oversee a centralized tool crib or tool control system for the maintenance teams.
Track and manage calibration schedules for precision and safety-critical tools.

Logistics &amp; Receiving:
Develop and implement procedures for incoming goods inspection and conformity checks against POs and specifications.
Coordinate with Procurement and QA/QC for handling non-conformities, damage reports, or vendor returns.

Compliance &amp; Safety:
Ensure all warehouse operations comply with HSE standards and regulations, especially for hazardous materials.
Maintain proper documentation and traceability for safety stock, critical spares, and regulated materials.

Workshop Setup and Optimisation:
Review the workshop design (layout, equipment, safety zones, utilities).
Define workshop requirements (working space, layout, tools, equipment, personnels, lifting means, storage means, waste management).
Recommend workshop tools and equipment.
Ensure workshop activities comply with company and HSE standards (e.g., permits to work, hot work procedures).
Develop and implement procedures for the workshop operation.

CONTRACT TERMS &amp; MOBILITY :

Job Purpose:

 • Minimum 10 years in the lifting &amp; handling industry at supervisory level
• Offshore jacket / topside installation experience preferred

4. Coordination with EPC, Licensors and OEMs :
