Mechanical Commissioning Lead
Location: Home Office- Abu Dhabhi

·        Coordinate Technical issues resolution
·        Retain Completions Technical Lead on all Engineering related issues
·        Interface with PE &amp; PMT for major commercial &amp; PM decisions
·        Manage engineering, quality, construction (MC) and procurement interfaces
·        Monitoring design and fabrication progress of process equipment packages
·        Participate in development of the TCP’s
·        Participating in performance tests for major equipment
·        Interfacing with SUBCONTRACTORS’ project management to ensure all critical commercial and technical issues are addressed.

·        Engineering Technical Support of planning efforts for MECHANICAL COMPLETION and COMMISSIONING activities in the VENDOR shops, fabrication yard, and at SITE.
·        Review and approval of DCNs &amp; FCRs
·        Assist in determining testing criteria for FATs for major pieces of equipment to ensure equipment has been fully tested to international standards and all documentation has been received in full and all FAT PUNCH LIST ITEMS were recorded and added to the SYSTEMS Completion Database.
·        Lead efforts to develop SITE PERFORMANCE TEST procedures and criteria
·        Participation in generation of PROJECT SYSTEMS Completion Schedule for all project phases.
·        Participate in SYSTEMS Completion (SC) Workshops to ensure alignment between all Stakeholders and what is required from them for SC acceptance at all PROJECT milestones.
·        Generation of full Step by Step Dynamic COMMISSIONING Procedures on SYSTEMS allocated to them during design.
·        Manage procurement of all COMMISSIONING and START-UP spares, first- fills, special tools and equipment to ensure all mentioned are present at SITE in a timely manner for execution.
·        Develop SYSTEMS Completions VENDOR Support Plan for their related SYSTEMS
Location : In Yard
·        Technical oversight during fabrication, MECHANICAL COMPLETION, and COMMISSIONING activities
·        Interfacing with engineering management on issues such as shop fabrication design change request, inspection reports, quality, RFIs, specification deviations, and P&amp;ID changes
·        Interface with Discipline SYSTEM Owners to prioritize and ensure focus on completion of related SYSTEMS
·        Ensure quality, accuracy and integrity of all SYSTEM issues, including agreement on any changes, close out verifications, schedule opportunities.
 ·        Interface with construction group to ensure MECHANICAL COMPLETION check sheets are allocated accordingly to each item of equipment to be inspected
·        Ensure adherence to COMMISSIONING procedures
·        SYSTEM walk downs, Ensure appropriate&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Bachelor's degree in Mechnical Engineering or a similar education with a minimum experience of 15 years in the Oil &amp; Gas industry. With minimum 5 years of experience in a lead position.

The Commissioning Electrical Engineering Lead is responsible for the engineering, planning, and technical preparation of all electrical commissioning activities for offshore oil &amp; gas facilities. The role focuses on commissioning engineering deliverables, system readiness, procedures, test philosophies, and technical support to site execution, ensuring safe energization and successful handover to Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Commissioning Engineering &amp; Planning
Lead the commissioning engineering phase for all electrical systems from design completion through handover.
Define commissioning strategies, system boundaries, priorities, and execution sequences.
Develop, review, and approve commissioning procedures, philosophies, and test methodologies for electrical systems.
Prepare energization philosophies, system start-up sequences, and changeover plans for brownfield and greenfield facilities.
Electrical Systems Engineering Scope
Act as the technical authority for commissioning of HV, MV, and LV electrical systems.
Provide commissioning engineering support for 132kV systems, including protection coordination, relay settings, interlocks, and grid interface requirements.
Lead engineering activities related to HV load management, load shedding logic, black start philosophy, and power system stability.
Review power system studies (load flow, short circuit, protection coordination) and ensure commissioning alignment.
Modular &amp; Offshore Integration
Define commissioning engineering requirements for modular projects, including yard pre-commissioning, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and offshore integration.
Ensure consistency between yard and offshore commissioning documentation and system readiness.
Manage commissioning engineering interfaces between packages, vendors, and offshore systems.
Interfaces &amp; Change Management
Coordinate commissioning engineering inputs with Design, Construction, Pre-commissioning, Instrumentation, Control Systems, and Operations teams.
Manage commissioning-related design clarifications, technical queries, and field changes during the commissioning phase.
Support resolution of punch items, non-conformities, and late design changes impacting commissioning activities.
Handover &amp; Documentation
Define commissioning completion criteria and system handover requirements.
Ensure preparation, review, and approval of commissioning dossiers, test records, system handover certificates, and as-built documentation.
Support operational readiness, energization approvals, and final system acceptance by the Client.
HSE &amp; Compliance (Engineering Focus)
Ensure commissioning engineering deliverables comply with project HSE requirements, electrical safety standards, and energization rules.
Participate in commissioning risk assessments, HAZID/HAZOP, and energization readiness reviews.
Embed safe commissioning principles into procedures and execution plans.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline from a recognized institution.
Experience
Minimum 15 years of engineering experience in the oil &amp; gas industry.
At least 8 years of experience in commissioning engineering, including preparation of procedures, philosophies, and system handover.
Proven experience on offshore brownfield and greenfield projects.
Experience in a similar commissioning engineering lead role on at least one major project with the Subcontractor or its parent organization.
Strong commissioning engineering experience with 132kV electrical systems, both in engineering studies and site support.
Demonstrated expertise in HV load management engineering, including load shedding schemes and power system operational logic.
Proven experience in modular projects, covering yard pre-commissioning and offshore integration.

Development and review of commissioning procedures, TCPs, test criteria.
Experience with FCR/DCN reviews, spec deviations, inspection reports.
Strong knowledge of vendor packages, fabrication, yard and site activities.
Familiarity with DFO / completions databases / punch list management.
Proven ability to lead multi-discipline teams and interface across:
 engineering, construction, procurement, QA/QC, subcontractors, and operations.
Capable of prioritizing system completion, aligning stakeholders, and resolving technical/commercial issues.
Ensures procedure adherence, regulatory compliance, and documentation accuracy.
Experience managing punch list liquidation, walkdowns, preservation, acceptance testing.
Strong communication, planning, decision-making, and problem-solving.
