Position description :
We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Global Services Energy, Qatar for a Lead Valve Technician Your main duties will be to: • Execution of Maintenance activities related to Valves such as Valve disassembly, Lapping, pop-up and blowback testing for PRVs, Seat and Body testing, Workshop Gland seal replacement, etc. with minimum or no supervision. • Theoretical and practical knowledge of all types of Valves and Actuators. • Familiarity with all International Standards related to Valves and its components • Basic Knowledge on Instrumentation related to valve controls such as calibration for zeroing, re ranging, span adjustment and/or spring tensioning for actuator spring loaded types. • Ensures that all Spare parts and Tools are readily available at all times. • Participates in the execution of major maintenance and main shutdowns. This includes highlighting specific items of equipment/spare parts which require Maintenance Workshop involvement, assessing resources, material and logistic requirements. • Quality Control Measures for all Maintenance-related activities using checklist. • Organizing skills to form a team of Valve technicians during any major Shutdowns and Turnarounds • Capable of understanding valve data sheets, assembly drawings and cross sectional drawings. • Capable of understanding control valve testing procedure as per leakage class • Identification of Spare parts and prioritization, and Select the right size & types of tools • Determine tools for lifting / shifting of loads using the Overhead Crane. • Able to understand the Basic Rigging Signals or verbally direct equipment Crane operators in hoisting and moving loads, in order to ensure safety of workers and materials. • Safety Management for the Workshop activities • Analytical skills required for major troubleshooting techniques and problem-solving abilities • Planning skills to identify the criticality and manpower resources that should be maximized effectively • Leading skills tasked to provide instructions and promote a harmonious atmosphere within his area of responsibility • Supports company’s initiatives in the area of ISO 9000, ISO14000 and RGEE.

Knowledge skills and expertise Educational Qualifications: Minimum Higher Secondary School Education plus Mechanical based apprenticeship training /diploma/ ITI, which should be a three to five year vocational credential (HNC, HND or equivalent) Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 8 years work experience in an Oil & Gas Industry or in a Petrochemical environment or related industry, including 5 years working as Valve technician. Highly skilled as a Workshop Lead Valve Technician / Supervisor and had numerous relevant Trainings such as understanding on the API 527 & 576, 598, ANSI FCI 70-2 standards • Knowledgeable on diagnostics for the causes of failure and provide reasons / effect for failure • Full knowledge on how to use the Test bench in handling Air / Water / Nitrogen at high pressure • Knowledge on Torquing pipe flanges and equipment flanges • Knowledge on Tightening sequence on flanges as per standard torque value. • Operate pneumatic and hydraulic as well as hand torquing equipment. • Knowledgeable of Hydrotesting procedures • Knowledgeable in various Maintenance Workshop practices including the up-to-date state of the art Technology. • Has capability to work under pressure. • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member. • Excellent adaptability to a multicultural environment with a wide exposure to various cultures and customs • Superior interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus approach. Operations & Execution: Supervise on-site drilling operations progress to ensure safe, cost-effective execution within timeframes and compliance with SSHE rules, guidelines, and local regulations. Supervision: Lead the on-site drilling team (Drilling Supervisor, SSHE Supervisor, Marine Supervisor, Material Coordinator) aligning logistics, engineering, and daily lookahead plans. Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce SSHE Management System, Well Management System (WMS), Management of Contractors and Suppliers Standard (MCS), and statutory requirements. Actively participate in JSAs, pre-tour meetings, HAZIDs, HAZOPs, and risk assessments. Permitting & Reporting: Prepare "Permits to Work" in advance, serve as the WORKSITE representative authorizing platform work, and submit daily operation reports to COMPANY and VENDOR administration.

Total & Core Experience: At least 10 years of offshore well operations, with a minimum of 5 years in senior drilling supervision. Regional Experience: Proven experience in Gulf of Thailand operations, offline activities, and development, exploration, and appraisal well operations. Operational Scope: Exposure to completion and workover. Knowledge of well site operations to supervise drilling, completion, and fluids/cement programs execution. Broad equipment/services knowledge (rig move, drilling/completion, rigging up/down, directional drilling, casing running, fluids/cement mixing & pumping, P&A, SIMOPS, and logistics). Certifications:Active IWCF Well Control (Drilling Level 4) certificate (valid during operations). Basic offshore safety training: T-BOSIET, H2S awareness, first aid, fire-fighting. Position description :
Duties and Responsibilities • Responsible for the garage mobile equipment/ static equipment PMs/ breakdowns implementations, inspections and quality tests in garage and at SITE locations. • Test mechanically various vehicles/ equipment after repairs or assembly or PMs Jobs to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications. • Repair and replace damaged parts. • Carry out overhauling of Hydraulic systems such as different type of hydraulic pumps, control valves, relief valves, Hydraulic motors, Hydraulic cylinders, etc… • Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment in order to identify defects. • Analyses faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices. • Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance works on vehicles/ equipment as per approved schedules and priorities. • Provide technical services reports for vehicles/ equipment, and keep equipment services records maintained and updated with full complete details and signatures. • Read and understand operating manuals, technical drawings as well as risks associated with the each task. • Performs regular maintenance checks on garage mobile equipment's and maintains a log of such inspections.
