SPIE Global Services Energy is currently looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Planning Engineer to join its work force in Angola.
- Review annual, monthly, and look-ahead mechanical maintenance plans and identify work orders requiring detailed preparation, material readiness, vendor support, access, lifting, isolation, or logistics coordination.
- Create, update, and enrich mechanical work orders in the CMMS/ERP system, including task sequence, manpower, duration, tools, spare parts, consumables, lifting needs, permit considerations, reinstatement steps, testing requirements, and close-out criteria.
- Prepare work packs for pumps, valves, PSVs, heat exchangers, cranes, static equipment, hydraulic systems, utilities, marine mechanical equipment, and associated mechanical packages.
- Identify, validate, and map spare parts, consumables, gaskets, seals, fasteners, lubricants, repair kits, special tools, and hand tools required for mechanical scopes.
- Support material master creation and BOM improvement by providing accurate technical descriptions, OEM references, manufacturer details, storage requirements, and equipment linkage.
- Follow up PRs, POs, technical clarifications, vendor quotations, expediting actions, warehouse availability, and material shortages that may affect mechanical work execution.
- Conduct warehouse verification, bagging, tagging, boxing, preservation checks, packing list preparation, and shipment readiness for mechanical materials and tools.
- Interface with maintenance, operations, reliability, warehouse, logistics, procurement, HSE, marine, vendors, and offshore supervisors to align mechanical work readiness and execution methodology.
- Support offshore execution by resolving technical queries, monitoring progress, assessing changes, capturing lessons learned, and converting accepted findings into new work orders or material requests.
Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification in mechanical engineering, with proven offshore oil and gas or FPSO maintenance planning experience. The candidate shall demonstrate strong knowledge of CMMS/ERP systems, mechanical equipment maintenance, work pack preparation, spare parts identification, vendor coordination, HSE requirements, and offshore logistics constraints.
