Descrição da função

Operations:

  • Organises and performs on site the maintenance operations which are placed under his responsibility,
  • Ensures strict compliance with COMPANY HSE policies, including adherence to Permit to Work (PTW) procedures, isolation standards, and approved operating procedures.
  • Leads and coordinates field technicians during maintenance and troubleshooting activities, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Enters intervention reports in the CMMS (including those concerning SMC) and writes the technical reports related to his field,
  • Prepares detailed technical reports, including failure analysis, root cause identification, and corrective/preventive recommendations.
  • Carries out, at the Supervisor request, any intervention within his field of competence.
  • Performs advanced fault diagnosis and takes in charge the systems under his responsibility in case of breakdown, ensuring timely restoration to normal operating conditions.

Perfil

Theoretical Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of oil & gas facilities and processes (well to export), including hydrocarbon risks (explosion, asphyxiation).
  • Proficient in basic computer use (Word, Excel, email, internet).
  • Strong foundation in process physics (temperature, pressure, volume, density, specific gravity).
  • Able to read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, ESD matrices, datasheets, and vendor documentation.
  • Understanding of control and regulation principles (simple, cascade, split range) and basic logic (AND/OR).
  • Familiar with PCS, F&G, and ESD systems, including alarms, trips, and inhibits.

Equipment Knowledge

  • Good understanding of instrumentation: pressure, temperature, level, flow and interface measurement devices.
  • Knowledge of metering systems (orifice, coriolis, turbine).
  • Understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems (SOVs, relays, timers).
  • Familiar with control valves, positioners, and PSV principles.
  • Knowledge of Fire & Gas detection systems (flame, gas, smoke).

Maintenance & Systems

  • Understanding of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance concepts.
  • Basic CMMS knowledge: creating notifications, reading and completing work orders, identifying tools, spares, and procedures for maintenance tasks.

Practical Skills

  • Competent in use of hand tools and workshop equipment.
  • Skilled in tubing, fittings, gaskets, seals, and cable terminations.
  • Proficient in use of test and calibration tools: multimeters, calibrators, deadweight testers, temperature baths, hydraulic pumps.

Maintenance Know-How

  • Able to perform loop checks from field devices to control systems (PCS/ESD).
  • Capable of calibration, testing, installation, and troubleshooting of transmitters (pressure, level, temperature, flow).
  • Able to calibrate and maintain control valves and positioners.
  • Experience in testing and maintaining Fire & Gas detection systems, ensuring proper inhibit management.

Autorizações requeridas

  • Diploma/degree in Instrumentation/Electrical;
  • 8–10 yrs O&G/industrial maintenance (offshore preferred);
  • Experience in PCS/ESD/F&G systems;
  • Instruments (pressure, level, temp, flow), control valves/positioners; loop checks & calibration;
  • Read P&ID/loop diagrams;
  • CMMS (e.g. SAP PM);
  • PTW/LOTO;
  • Troubleshooting & breakdown response;
  • Test equipment use;
  • Basic reporting in English.
