Electrical Project Engineer
JOB PURPOSE
Roles in this level have responsibility for planning, prioritizing, executing, monitoring, and controlling of Projects in an efficient and systematic manner. They have a prime role, whenever they are assigned the role of project coordinators, in coordinating with team members, multiple trades and stakeholders to ensure smooth-running of projects.
They also must work as discipline members in various projects to execute discipline related scope and deliverables.
They compile and provide input to the periodic reports, updates to various KPIs and CAPEX within their area of work. They ensure cost control in their assigned projects.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Engineering & Project Management Activities:
Plan, prioritize, execute, monitor, and control all their assigned projects’ activities in either the role of project coordinator or member required to meet the project objectives with relevant quality, within specified time schedule, scope, cost, design basis & specifications, risks, health, safety, energy, and environment requirements according to Handling of Project procedures, Delegation of Authority, and project execution manual.
To ensure necessary communication with project requisitioner, internal & external stakeholders, team members, production, and maintenance representatives for smooth execution of projects.
Ensure regular reporting on projects (cost, schedule, cost phasing, forecasting, accruals, KPIs, scorecard variations etc.) and conduct regular review meetings
Applications for Engineering Standards:
Identify and follow relevant codes & standards, design basis, specifications, engineering procedure, technical requirements, and good engineering practices to execute projects.
To work along with Engineering Section to develop and conduct systematic and thorough review of engineering deliverables and support to site execution of project works.
Procurement, Contract Co-ordination, and Bid Evaluation:
Identify and follow the right Contract execution strategy, identify relevant suppliers to ensure high-quality, cost-effective purchases.
Develop all deliverables for the tendering process of equipment and services. Conduct technical evaluations and necessary approvals. Assist in commercial evaluation of bids. Ensure all procedures and governance are compiled to during the tendering and after award till successful completion of all Contracts.
Leadership Role:
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline from a recognized University
10+ years direct and relevant discipline experience in large EPCC Projects related to oil/gas or petrochemical or fertiliser industry. Experience in Ammonia and Urea Fertilizer Projects/Plants is an advantage.
You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office
