To lead and manage the following tasks:
- Process and technology performance monitoring of Residue Fluidised Catalyst Cracking (RFCC), LPG Treating Unit (LTU) and Propylene Recovery Unit (PRU).
- Through detailed analyses of operational data; optimization improvement, as well as operational support and technical advice are to be demonstrated for the safe, reliable and optimum operation throughout the plant lifecycle.
- To support smooth operation of RFCC, LTU and PRU units and ensure its intended production capacity and product quality for downstream units whilst meeting all regulatory requirements.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES-
1) TECHNICAL STUDIES
- Strategies and lead technical studies for plant modifications by evaluating technical and commercial feasibility options to achieve improvements in areas of plant energy efficiency, operational flexibility, or compliance to HSE requirements.
- This may include the selection of new technology applications available in industry.
2) PROCESS MONITORING, ANALYSIS & TROUBLESHOOTING
- Lead the daily process monitoring of key operating parameters, catalyst performance and products’ quality to ensure adherence to safe operating limits. Identify unit/process potential problems through the analysis of key operating parameters, and troubleshooting anomalies.
- Recommend proactive measures to Operations by improving operating procedures/parameters/guidelines to avoid potential problems from escalating and sustaining safe, reliable and optimum plant operation. Effective communication and good rapport with the Process Licensor and catalyst supplier will also be required.
3) PROCESS IMPROVEMENT & OPTIMISATION
- Strategise and plan plant and facility improvement and optimisation studies of RFCC/LTU/PRU by identifying potential benefits using applicable simulation tools, performing plant/facility trial runs, identifying plant/unit performance limitations, reviewing lesson learnt and adopt best practices as well as investigating and establishing improved operating guidelines to ensure optimum plant performance, maximize value creation and minimize operating cost.
- Perform technical evaluation for new feedstocks and provide appropriate operating guidelines to Operations for a smooth transition to the new feedstock and subsequent operations.
- Effective communication and rapport with the Process Licensor will also be required.
4) COMMISSIONING & START-UP
- Lead and plan the commissioning and start-up activities of improvement or modification projects and chemical and media loading through effective collaboration and coordination with the Licensor, Engineering team, Operation team and Contractors, as well as ensuring construction is as per design and compliance to project specifications and standards to achieve flawless commissioning, start-up and performance testing of the facility with quality and standard while complying with the statutory regulation and business objectives in a safe and effective
