• Extensive experience in the commissioning, startup, performance testing, and operational readiness of Steam Methane Reformer (SMR) units in petrochemical and hydrogen production facilities.
• Led pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including mechanical completion verification, system turnover, punch-list management, flushing, cleaning, drying, leak testing, and catalyst loading.
• Managed startup activities for reformer furnaces, feed gas systems, steam systems, fuel gas systems, process air systems, syngas production units, and associated utility systems.
• Coordinated multidisciplinary teams involving operations, engineering, construction contractors, licensors, and vendors to ensure safe and efficient plant startup.
• Developed and reviewed commissioning procedures, startup plans, test packages, operating manuals, and turnover dossiers.
• Conducted functional testing of control systems, safety interlocks, ESD systems, burner management systems (BMS), and process control loops.
• Supported catalyst reduction, reformer heat-up, steam-out operations, feed introduction, process optimization, and performance guarantee testing.
• Ensured compliance with HSE requirements, process safety management standards, and permit-to-work systems throughout commissioning and startup phases.
• Participated in troubleshooting process upsets, equipment performance issues, and optimization of hydrogen and syngas production.
• Successfully handed over commissioned systems to operations while ensuring achievement of design capacity, reliability, and performance targets.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering
