Job description
SPIE Global Service Energy currently hiring for Commissioning Technician – Electrical for Onshore Project in Basra, Iraq.
Its a rotational role- 28/28
Job Purpose-
Support commissioning and start-up activities related to Commissioning Technician – Electrical systems on the onshore oil & gas project. Work with the commissioning team to prepare, test, and hand over systems safely and on time.
Main Responsibilities-
· Assist in commissioning of electrical systems (motors, switchgear, transformers, UPS).
· Perform insulation resistance, continuity, and functional tests.
· Support energization and troubleshooting of electrical equipment.
· Follow commissioning procedures and instructions from supervisors.
· Maintain accurate records of test results and commissioning activities.
· Respect HSE rules and ensure safe working environment.
· Support punch list clearance and handover to operations.
Profile
Requirements-
· Iraqi national from Basra region.
· Technical diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.
· Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in electrical maintenance or commissioning in oil & gas industry.
· Knowledge of electrical equipment such as motors, transformers, and switchgear.
· Ability to read and follow electrical drawings and schematics.
· Good teamwork and communication skills.
· Strong commitment to safety.
