Job description
SPIE Global Service Energy currently hiring for Commissioning Technician – Instrumentation & Control System for Onshore Project in Basra, Iraq.
Its a rotational role- 28/28
Job Purpose-
Support commissioning and start-up activities related to Commissioning Technician – Instrumentation & Control System systems on the onshore oil & gas project. Work with the commissioning team to prepare, test, and hand over systems safely and on time.
Main Responsibilities-
· Assist in commissioning of instrumentation and control systems (DCS, PLC, transmitters, control valves).
· Perform loop checks, calibration, and functional tests of instruments.
· Support troubleshooting and adjustments during commissioning.
· Follow commissioning procedures and instructions from supervisors.
· Document commissioning activities and test results.
· Respect HSE rules and ensure safe working conditions.
· Support punch list activities and handover to operations.
Profile
Requirements-
· Iraqi nationals from Basra region.
· Technical diploma or equivalent in Instrumentation, Control Systems, or related field.
· Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in instrumentation maintenance or commissioning in oil & gas.
· Knowledge of control systems, transmitters, analyzers, and valves.
· Ability to read P&IDs, loop diagrams, and control system documents.
· Good teamwork and communication skills.
· Strong commitment to safety.
