Job description

Thanks to its internationally recognized expertise in the field of oil and gas
production,unit operations, maintenance and also Renewable Energy market, SPIE Global Services Energy was selected to provide this activity on Block 17 project in Angola.


In order to participate to our growth of Sub-Saharan Africa Business Unit, we are
looking for an Electrical Methods Engineer H/F.


This position is rotational mode 6x3 OFFSHORE.

 

 

This role involves:

  • Electrical Method Engineers in relation to technical/engineering advice and support to maintenance activities on his AREA (2 FPSOs)
  • Contracts monitored: 7 contracts, including a GMC (General Maintenance Company) and 6 specific contracts
  • Technologies, equipment and processes most representative of the position: o Electrical generation: (9) Turbo-alternator of 25MW at 11kV, JEUMONT ALTERNATORS, Excitation System (GE 2100E, JEUMONT)
  • Distribution network (11kV, 690V, 400V, 230V, 110Vdc, 48 Vdc, 24Vdc)
  • Electrical Control System (ECS) and Power Management System (PMS): BRUSH PRISMIC, SCHNEIDER (PSCN/MSOEN, SEEFOX)
  • MV/HV Variable Speed Drives (VSD): GENERAL ELECTRIC POWER CONVERSION (GEPC), SIEMENS PERFECT HARMONY
  • Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Chargers, Rectifiers: Gutor, Vertiv, AEG (Saft)
  • HV and LV Electric Motors o Lifting equipment and hoist - electric (Lutz, Exo International, Thyseen)
  • Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Systems: CHILLERS, FAN COIL UNITS, DAMPERS
  • Contribute to the reporting to Area Maintenance Leader for Electrical and HVAC activities - Validate the maintenance plan for electrical and HVAC equipment.
  • Contribute to the reporting of anomalies and incidents and participate in diagnostic and corrective actions.
  • Implement the operating and maintenance strategy in the Discipline according to Exploration objectives (operating instructions, stock and safety parts management, visits and technical expertise).
  • Check the diagnoses relating to major malfunctions and failures, organize and conduct the corresponding action plans.
  • Ensure the proper level of preparation and organization of work carried out on site by suppliers, specialists or external contracted companies on instruments and control systems.
  • Receive for the Discipline work carried out ashore and orders delivered to the base, before shipment - Organize and maintain the electricity database.
  • Conduct a monthly site visit to ensure all ongoing issues are fully understood.

Profile

 We are primarily looking for a candidate who demonstrates the following skills:

  • Electrical Engineer - sense of method, flavour analysis, rigor and organizational skills.
  • Experience (5 to 10 years) in Generation, distribution, motors, transformer skills, HV motors, autonomous backup source and variable speed drives.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance and maintenance methods (RCM, CMMS). - Qualities required: reliability, autonomy, analytical skills, organizational skills - Knowledge UNISUP PM/MM,
  • Knowledge of Power generation, distribution, control and management systems.
  • Knowledge of variable speed and frequency drives - Knowledge of PI process book as well PI Vision
  • Good knowledge of the group's GS and CR in the GS-ELE and PROD field - Languages: French and English (>3/5), Concept of Portuguese (>1.5/5).

Minimum level of experience required
