Job description
SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for Interface and Risk Lead to join its work force in Nigeria.
Purpose:
Accountable for the integrated management of technical, organizational, schedule, and stakeholder interface and for the identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of project risks and opportunities across all IMA Packages. Ensures that cross-package and external interfaces are proactively managed, risks are transparently escalated and controlled, and that interface and risk-related threats do not compromise safety, schedule, cost, quality, and operability of the IMA Project deliverables.
Activities:
- Establish and maintain IMA Project Interface Management Plan covering all internal and external interfaces.
- Identify, define, and manage the Interface Battery Limits across the IMA Project packages.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Interface Register, ensuring clear ownership, responsibilities, and closure criteria.
- Facilitate regular interface coordination meetings with Package Managers, EPC Contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely identification, escalation, resolution, and closure of interface issues impacting safety, schedule, cost, or operability.
- Develop and maintain the IMA Project Risk and Opportunity Management Plan
- Lead the structured risk identification workshops across all packages and project execution phases.
- Maintain the IMA Risk Register, ensuring that risks are clearly defines, quantified as applicable, assigned to accountable owners, and actively mitigated and monitored.
- Identify and promote opportunities to improve project cost, schedule, safety, or operability.
- Provide regular interface and risk status reports to IMA PMT, highlighting trend analysis, emerging risks, and areas requiring management interventions. Context and environment IMA Gas Field Development Project is to develop 1.28 TCF of gas through a 4-slot shallow water conductor-supported well-head platform in 8 – 10m of water to produce 380 MMsfcd at plateau. The production fluid to be transported through an 18”x 15km subsea and 18” x 7km onshore pipeline system to the onshore dehydration system at the NEPL/WAGL – owned Bonny NAG plant that is situated within the Renaissance-operated Bonny Oil and Gas Terminal. Treated gas to be exported to Nigeria LNG.
Accountabilities:
- All critical interfaces are identified and assigned to accountable owners for closure.
- All high-risk interfaces are closed before commissioning and start-up of IMA packages.
- All major risks have approved mitigation plans.
- Measurable reduction of overall project risk to acceptable levels over the IMA project execution phase.
- Accurate, timely, and decision-focused interface and risk reporting.
Profile
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Qualification: Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline.
Professional Experience (number of years): 10 – 15 years in the oil and gas industry
Experience within project: (number of years): proven experience managing interfaces and risks on multi-package EPC projects
