Job description

SPIE Global Services Energy is looking for a Rotating Equipment Mechanical Supervisor M/F to join its team Offshore in Angola.

This role offers a great opportunity to work in a dynamic and international environment within a leading company in the energy sector. You will be involved in strategic projects and have the chance to develop your skills in a stimulating setting.

The main responsibilities will be as follows:

HSE:

  • To ensure the safety of his team
  • To ensure the respect of the safety rules during the intervention

OPERATIONS:

  • To organise on site the maintenance operations which are placed under his responsibility.
  • To assist the planning team by giving any technical support for the preparation of the jobs in his discipline.
  • To assist specialists working under Specific Maintenance Contracts (SMC).
  • To ensure that COMPANY’s HSE regulations are respected (especially procedures related to Work Permits), as well as approved operating procedures and standard industry practice during performance of maintenance operations placed under his responsibility.
  • To manage interventions using the CMMS and checks intervention reports in the CMMS (including those concerning SMC) and writes the technical reports related to his field.
  • To ensure that the transfer of knowledge by mentoring occurs properly within his teams, and actively participates in this himself.

METHODS:

  • To suggest improvements and request modifications.

QUALITY:

  • To verifie the quality of his teams’ interventions.

Profile

 

  • Experience as a Mechanical Supervisor
  • Hands-on experience with turbines, compressors, pumps, and gear reducers
  • Background as a Field Services Engineer/Technician with companies like
  • GE, Baker Hughes, Nuovo Pignone, etc.
  • Strong expertise in heavy equipment overhauls

Candidate criteria

Minimum level of experience required

6 years or more

Required authorisations

Higher National Diploma or Certificate (HND/HNC (A-levels + 3 years’ study) or BTS/DUT or equivalent in MECHANICAL / ROTATING EQUIPMENT / MAINTENANCE

OFFSHORE FIT TO WORK CERTIFICATE

BOSIET.

Golden Rules as ad advantage.

GE / SOLAR / SIEMENS / NUOVO PIGNONE Turbin certifications as an advantage.

FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER / TECHNICIAN experience as an advantage.

Languages

  • French (C-Professional working proficiency)
  • Portuguese (C-Professional working proficiency)
  • English (E-Native or bilingual proficiency)
