SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for a PSV Senior Technician to join its work force in Nigeria. He/She shall be responsible for the safe inspection, testing, maintenance, and certification of all Pressure Safety Valves across upstream, midstream, and downstream facilities in compliance with DPR/NUPRC regulations, API standards, and company HSE policies. You protect lives, assets, and production continuity in a high-risk environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repair
- Strip down, clean, lap seats, replace springs, bellows, and O-rings on valves from brands like Crosby, Anderson Greenwood, Leser, and Farris
- Execute emergency repairs during unplanned shutdowns to avoid flaring penalties
Testing & Certification
- Perform statutory PSV testing and recertification intervals as mandated by NUPRC Guidelines and API 576 - typically every 12-36 months depending on service
- Conduct bench testing and in-situ testing using deadweight testers and portable pop testers on FPSOs, flow stations, refineries, and gas plants
- Stamp and issue PSV certification tags acceptable to NUPRC and third-party inspectors
HSE & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure 100% compliance with DPR Safety Regulations 1997 and NMDPRA requirements
- Complete Permit to Work (PTW), JSA, and Toolbox Talk documentation before any job
