Job description
Basic Functions:
The primary function of the Commissioning Static equipment Specialist is to
ensure that all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for
mechanical static equipment disciplines are prepared and executed according
to the OPERCOM® methodology in a safe manner and according to the
planned schedule.
Main Accountabilities:
The main accountabilities include ensuring that Health, Safety, and
Environment (HSE) is given the highest priority, coordinating and approving
the quality and completeness of deliverables, assisting Commissioning Unit
leaders in witnessing and monitoring pre-commissioning and commissioning
activities, reviewing pre-commissioning dossiers, and ensuring the care and
maintenance of equipment by EPCC Contractor. The specialist is also
responsible for monitoring all static equipment commissioning activities,
reviewing and commenting on test procedures, and liaising with other teams
to ensure a smooth transition from commissioning to start-up phase.
Profile
Qualifications:
The position requires an engineer level or above education, high knowledge
of static equipment activities within a petrochemical site, and a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar position. Specific skills include knowledge of
EPCC contract management, OPERCOM®, and ICAPS©. The candidate
should be methodic, organized, have a good team spirit, and be fluent in
English, with Arabic being a plus.
